Bulk Find & Replace
Replace text in a single text file or a ZIP of files. Review every affected filename before downloading.
How to use it
- Upload a supported UTF-8 text file or a ZIP of text files.
- Enter the exact text to find and its replacement.
- Review the change report and download your updated file or archive.
A useful example
Update an old domain name across HTML, CSS, and configuration files in one batch.
Good to know
Only supported UTF-8 text files are changed. Binary files and unsupported encodings are preserved. Matching is literal, not a regular expression.
Changing your WordPress domain?
A WordPress database export is an SQL file. This tool accepts supported text files and ZIP archives, but does not modify .sql files, even inside a ZIP.
Use a WordPress-aware replacement tool
WordPress can store settings in serialized data, where text lengths are recorded. Simply replacing an old domain with a new one can break those values. Renaming an SQL export to .txt does not make this operation safe.
Keep a database backup and use a tool that handles serialized data, such as WP-CLI search-replace, on a test copy of your WordPress site first. WP-CLI can preview changes with a dry run and export the transformed database as SQL.
